Table of Contents

Image
I listed the articles I did because they were the two different local brands that I took photos for. The table of contents features two sections with one being featured brands and the other being labeled others which will be all of those that do not focus directly on the two brands but other elements of men's fashion such as : trends, other brands, tips, prices, places to get these items, miscellaneous photos, etc. It includes the page number that these items are listed on my flat plan. The font i choose was Cooperplate Gothic Bold. I chose this font because of the nice style that the letters appear in. They are also bold making it better for readers to see the titles.

Cover Template

I chose the title Florida Fashion because it is very catchy. Usually things that rhyme will stick in your head a lot longer, so i wanted to add this element to my magazine. I chose to use the font Cooperplate Gothic Bold. These fonts because I wanted it to look individual and different from everyone else. It also looked very nice with my cover picture which was another reason to use it. I chose to color the text in yellow because of the many colors I had in the background of the cover photo. I needed to make them a bright color that would stand out in order for the audience to read, as well as catch their attention. The text will appear around the subjects on the front in order to get a clear picture of whats being represented on the cover, while also providing a preview of the sections throughout the magazine.

Schedule Interviews and Devleop Questions

The person I will interview for this project is Leo Glickman. He is one of my best friends and runs the clothing brand Pearl Rose. I chose him because he is someone I know who will tell me the genuine answers to questions I ask. If I interviewed someone I didn't know they would probably say things to make them sound best, but he will actually tell me real ideas of his. The process wasn't so hard because I am good friends with him. I simply just asked him before if he would answer some questions as well and he said yes. Then, I asked him these questions when doing the photo shoot and recorded his responses. I formulated these questions based on things that related to men's fashion as well as his work itself. Asking questions such as: Why did you want to start your own brand?, What the name Pearl Rose comes from?, and How he comes up with these designs?

Scouting locations for photo shoots

I decided that rather than setting up an appointment with myself, I could set them up with the brands. The models chose areas close by that they felt was good, and then I took it from there. Ramzi and Chaz from Hidden Spectrum wanted to take pictures at a large bridge and I hose the angles as well as time of day. Leo from Pearl Rose told me to go to Red Bug Slough because of the amount of possibilities there, then I took it from there and actually found the specific spots and took the pictures.

Schedule photo shoots

For the project, I will take pictures of different models/ owners of these brands. The topic of the magazine is men's fashion, so I will focus on the two brads and their men's apparel. The scheduling went well, with most of them being my friends previously, I asked to hangout with them for the day and would work in the photo shoot when wanted. The shoot for hidden spectrum featured the two people who run the brand: Chaz Travers and Ramzi Kabban. The shoot for Pearl Rose featured the brand owner Leo Glickman and a friend/model Denis Rodriguez.
