GQ

GQ magazine is another one of the largest fashion magazines in the world. They have done this by having grabbing covers and great contents. The cover is very appealing by featuring a great quality picture of a major figure who people would recognize.This helps to make the audience intrigued and want to read the magazine. The cover contains a large GQ sellout at the top to make sure the audience can easily identify the magazine. They also feature many subtitles that wrap around the image of the celebrity. These subtitles may be in various colors not only to attract readers, but also to make them pop on the various background colors that the cover may feature. These magazines feature many fashion related articles, found on most all pages. They usually have ads on the left side page, while containing content on the right. If its a major article that features the celebrity on the cover, there will be many pages on them starting on the left side page. GQ magazine is very popular, circulating over 800,000 magazines per month.

This magazine, Teen People, is another magazine that would feature a similar target audience to my own magazine. This magazine features that similar to People Magazine, but is targeted more towards teens. This magazine has many different themes usually featuring a variety of lifestyle ideas and celebrities. This magazine, Teen Vogue, has a very similar target audience to mine. This is due to the fact that both are fashion magazines. Not only this, but they also are both aimed more towards teens rather than kids or adults. This is due to the new fashion trends and styles that are shown off inside the magazine. The way that Teen Vogue made themselves successful is by having lots of diversity, marketing, and being flexible. They used and supported the LGBTQ community throughout there magazine which showed there diversity and equality towards a variety of differences. They have a very large social media following because they are always up to date on trends and feature the hottest new teens in order to keep the audience interested. They also are very flexible in the sense of listening to their reviews. Distribution Research

The traditional distribution model for a magazine has to follow the three party equation. You need the producers, the wholesaler, and the retailer. The model shows how these three different parties need to work together in order to distribute the magazine to the best ability. The producer is the person who makes the products (magazine in my case). The wholesaler is the person who gets the product from the factory and will distribute them to different stores in order to sell the product. The retailer is the salespersons who work at the stores in which the products are sold. If any one of these people mess up the process, it messes up everything. On the other hand, their can be modifications done correctly that will let this work such as the producer selling directly to the retailers.
